About us
My name is Janne and the history of reindeer husbandry in my family dates back hundreds of years. Although I first pursued a career in engineering, I soon realised that my true calling was to follow in my ancestors’ footsteps and live with the reindeer.
Today, I run the farm together with my partner Dorothee and our daughter Ronja. We're supported in all daily tasks by our working Lapponian herder dogs Aira and Siira. They are always excited to make new friends and never miss an opportunity to request a cuddle.
About our reindeer farm
As a working reindeer farm, we offer genuine encounters with animals, nature, and the culture of reindeer husbandry. We welcome people from around the world who seek to spend quality time with their loved ones in an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.
We're open to guests from the first of December until the first of April. Our schedule follows the natural rhythm of our semi-domesticated reindeer. During the winter months, we keep the herd in a large enclosure where they are cared for and fed. Spending time with them during this season is a truly special experience — each reindeer has its own unique personality and charm. In the summer, our reindeer roam freely across the forests and swamps of Lapland.
