Nighttime icefishing trip & wilderness dinner
This program is best suited for families and friend groups staying in or near Unarin-Luusua. We will take you out on Lake Unari by snowmobile to fish for burbot and perch and to experience the nighttime magic of the Arctic winter. If conditions are right, you may even witness the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.
What to expect
We warmly invite you to a nighttime icefishing trip on Lake Unari. If you are lucky, you'll catch burbot, perch and even the northern lights. Don't forget your camera.
You'll travel comfortably in a snowmobile-pulled sleigh to the icefishing location on an island in the middle of Lake Unari. We'll light a campfire in a lavu hut near the lakeshore, where you can warm up in between. The location is ideal for enjoying Lapland's unique nighttime atmosphere, far from light and noise pollution.
While you are fishing, we'll prepare a wilderness dinner by the campfire. The menu includes local and homemade delicacies, such as reindeer meat products, rieska bread, and bread cheese. If you have any food allergies or special dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian, gluten- or lactose intolerance), please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate your needs.

Group size: Up to 10 persons (2 participants minimum)

Price: € 160/adult; €120 child (8-12 years)
Suitable for: Couples, friend groups, families with children over 8 years of age.
Not suitable for: People with mobility impairments, recent surgeries, colds, or severe cardiovascular problems.
Included in the price: Icefishing gear, ride in a snowmobile-pulled sleigh, campfire, wilderness dinner.
Requirements: Proper outdoor clothing suitable for winter conditions. Warm winter boots, a hat and mittens/gloves are essential.
