The prices are set out in the programme descriptions on our website or upon inquiry by the customer. The given prices include VAT according to the Taxation Laws and Regulations of Finland. Unari Lake Reindeer Farm reserves the right to amend its prices at any time due to unforeseen increases in operating costs, including but not limited to changes in taxation, fuel costs, or other external factors. Any price changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.
Booking and Payment
A booking is confirmed once you have received a booking confirmation from Unari Lake Reindeer Farm.
Available payment methods are displayed during the online booking process. Where applicable, payment may also be made by card or cash on the day of your booked activity.
Arrival, Late Arrival and No-Shows
Customers are responsible for arriving at the agreed meeting point at the scheduled time.
Please allow sufficient time to travel to our location in Unarin-Luusua and familiarise yourself with the route before your visit. We recommend arriving at least five minutes before the scheduled start time to allow time for parking, changing into suitable clothing and using the toilet facilities if required.
If you expect to be late, please contact us as soon as possible by telephone or message. Where possible, we will try to accommodate a late arrival or agree an alternative arrangement. However, this cannot be guaranteed and may not be possible depending on the activity.
Failure to notify us of a late arrival will be treated as a no-show. No-shows are non-refundable, and the full booking fee will be charged.
Cancellations and Changes
Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 20 days before the scheduled activity.
If you cancel 19 days or less before the activity, the cancellation charge is 100% of the total booking value.
You may request to change the date or time of your booking free of charge, subject to availability.
Participation and Health
Some of our activities, particularly snowshoeing and hiking, are physically demanding and require a reasonable level of fitness and previous experience of walking in outdoor winter conditions.
If you have any medical condition or disability that could affect your ability to participate safely—including, but not limited to, cardiovascular disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems—or if you are pregnant, we strongly recommend seeking medical advice before booking.
By participating, you confirm that you are fit enough to take part in the activity. Participation is entirely at your own risk where a pre-existing medical condition may affect your ability to participate safely.
Please inform us in advance of any relevant medical conditions, allergies or accessibility requirements so that we can advise whether the activity is suitable.
Liability and Injuries
Unari Lake Reindeer Farm is liable only for personal injury or property damage directly resulting from our negligence or from defective equipment supplied by us.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for injuries, losses or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from risks inherent in outdoor activities and encounters with animals.
We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel and personal accident insurance before travelling.
Children
Our snowshoeing and hiking activities are physically demanding and are generally not recommended for children under the age specified for each programme.
Our reindeer farm visit is suitable for children aged 5 years and over.
As the activities take place outdoors for approximately two hours, we do not recommend bringing newborn babies or toddlers.
Parents and guardians are solely responsible for ensuring that children wear suitable winter clothing and footwear appropriate for Arctic conditions. Inadequate clothing can result in severe discomfort, hypothermia or frostbite.
Service Language
Our guided tours and services are available in English, German and Finnish.
